When Colin died of cancer in 2012 at the age of 70, poets from all over Canada, and from as far away as Australia, came together to dedicate poems to Colin and his work. This little volume, printed by Gaspereau Press, is the result. It contains 29 poems and two 'letters to Colin'. It is co-edited by Michael Bawtree, Genevieve Lehr and Alex Pierce.
"He said: where in your body do you feel this? I said nothing, pointed to my chest, heart burrowed in my throat, where a voice should be. He held my head in his hands, tears on his thumbs, and spoke my words, so I could hear them. He saw I couldn't move my grief, so he held my head still – let grief move me." From Lessening by Lisa Martin-DeMoor
"He touched so many lives, in so many fields, and was instrumental not only to individuals' development, but to scaffolding the artistic infrastructure in this country." Katia Grubisic "I learned lessons from Colin that are only now beginning to ripen, lending space for my words in both my art and my life." Kristy McKay
